POSITION: AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

JOB SUMMARY

As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician at Delta Air Lines, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and operational efficiency of our fleet. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft, components, and equipment according to Delta high standards and regulatory guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of aircraft systems and components.
  • Perform repairs and modifications on aircraft structures, systems, and components.
  • Document all maintenance actions using Delta maintenance tracking systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to maintain efficient workflow.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience, preferably with commercial aircraft.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex aircraft issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

WORKING HOURS

This position operates on a shift basis to support Delta Air Lines round-the-clock operations. Specific shift schedules will be discussed during the interview process.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Thorough understanding of aircraft systems, structures, and components.
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations and safety protocols (FAA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Proficiency in using aircraft maintenance tools, equipment, and software systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
